Personal Statement

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Portland majoring in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. I plan to attend graduate school upon completing my undergraduate students; however, I am not certain what degree(s) I will pursue for my graduate program. I have an affinity for working on cars. I plan one day to rebuild an old muscle car from the frame upon, preferably a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. I have a very strong work ethic, which stems from my parent’s requirement for me to work for everything I need.

Professional and Educational Objective

I plan to pursue my Masters degree and possibly my Doctorate degree upon graduating from the University of Portland. I am deciding between a Mechanical Engineering or an Aeronautical Engineering degree. This internship will help me in my decision for graduate school.
